About Eka Akobia

I am a Georgian social scientist and a lecturer with 18 years of practical and teaching experience in the field of International Relations & Diplomacy and Public Administration. I have 11 years of public service experience (MFA of Georgia). Currently, I am Dean of the Caucasus School of Governance (CSG) at Caucasus University (CU), where we run BA, MA and PHD level Georgian language programs in IR & Diplomacy and PA and also a English language BA program in IR & Diplomacy. I am honoured to serve as the current President of the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) I teach Theories of International Relations and Research Design. I have variously taught UN Peacekeeping Operations, International Relations and EU External Relations. I have been part of Erasmus+ projects "PESTUGE" and "INTEGRITY" and we are currently running a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "EUPOLTRANS" at Caucasus University. My mission is to contribute to Georgia's higher education system with teaching and mentoring but also by participating in innovative reforms projects aimed at fostering modern education and science in Georgia. I continue to monitor, analyse and write about upholding the Euro-Atlantic Foreign Policy and Governance in Georgia.
