About Elaina Grayson

Hi! My name is Elaina Grayson and I am a fourth year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. Some things that I am passionate about include the medical field, engineering, and I am specifically interested in the design and development of medical devices. I have proven my skills in leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and determination in many ways through my work and life experiences. I have been diversifying and obtaining valuable work experience in the workforce since the young age of 12 and I have gained such useful skills from these jobs. I have mostly been involved in barn management for equestrian facilities, and the amount of responsibility, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork skills needed is very considerable. I have also worked for many different people and places who have distinct rules and protocols which calls for adaptability and the willingness to learn. In most of my experiences, I've worked with a team. We usually split up the work and delegated what task each could complete, or we would collaborate to complete a larger task. In either of these situations, effective communication was essential, especially when it came to the welfare of the horses and barn clients. Over my work experiences, I have acquired each of these skills, and many more, and I am always ready to learn and improve upon my skill sets. Elaina Grayson graysoen@mail.uc.edu
