About Elaine Scribner

Whether developing programs for empowering individuals to maximize their abilities or teaching nursing, stress management, tai chi, or mindfulness, I have come to love teaching people how to move through their lives with joy and purpose. Currently consulting with AGX, I coach veterans in pain and stress management, using tai chi and mindfulness as tools. In addition, I have been teaching nurse practitioners: Policy and Ethics. Not surprisingly, during these intense years of the pandemic, the support and coaching needed for nurses in the APRN program has risen, but it has also provided a window of opportunity for galvanizing nurses to address the problems rampant in our field (e.g, violence in the workplace towards HCW; Nursing:Patient Ratios). I have been an Adjunct Faculty member for 25 years, teaching at the community college and university level. I have taught a diverse student body at diverse levels: MSN/APRN's; AD and BSN and Nurse's Aides. As a dynamic and compassionate instructor, I have taught both face-to-face and online. As Founder and CEO of the consulting firm Creative Solutions by Scribner & Associates, Inc, I specialize in Nurse Coaching, holistic stress management, mindfulness training, and energy medicine modalities. In 2012 I wrote Stride Like a Lion, Soar Like an Eagle. a book with tools and techniques for stress management and resilience building in a world that is just a wee bit stressed. With 30+ years of experience in public health administration and education I am following my passions! I have come to a point in my career where I am ready for a position that leverages my creativity and teaching experience to make a difference, whether it be teaching, developing programs in holistic medicine, or designing programs that maximizes abilities. In addition to the tai chi, mindfulness, and energy medicine, I love to garden, travel, hike, bike, kayak, swing dance and I am a weaver of fine handwovens. No one, and I repeat, no one in their right mind would have as many floor looms as I have.I have discovered they are like hangers.you cannot close the door on them as they reproduce on their own.
