About Elda Olvera

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary’s University, Elda began her career in 1993. Her teaching background includes seven years of elementary self-contained classroom experience and a year and a half teaching parent education. She was recruited to teach financial education in 2005 for Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union. During her 6 years as a Financial Educator, she taught an average of 3,500 students per year. In 2008, the National Youth Involvement Board recognized her for being the “Top Classroom Presenter” from Texas, in both total number of students reached and total number of presentations given. Additionally, she earned the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award from the NYIB in 2010. She is currently the AVP of the Learning and Development Department at RBFCU where she oversees the Employee Education as well as the Financial Literacy Team.
