About Eleanor Brooks

I am a passionate and dedicated advocate, and my career path is guided by the belief that everyone should live a life of dignity, be treated equally, and be protected from human rights abuses. I have almost two years of experience advocating for clients to access their basic accommodation, social welfare, and immigration rights. My areas of expertise also include women’s rights, reproductive health, equal access to education, and mental health. I have diverse research experiencing following a research-oriented MA, which included a research semester and research internship in India. The interdisciplinary nature of my studies taught me to become a fast learner, and I can quickly familiarise myself with new topics and identify connections between disparate themes. I am an adept intercultural communicator and am comfortable working in a variety of settings. I am a strong team-player and I care deeply about the welfare of my co-workers. I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and I have implemented these skills in my workplace to ensure that employees' mental health needs are supported. I am a confident public speaker, having taken debating and mooting classes in college, and I designed and provided training to the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Service. I am currently taking German classes C1.2 and hope to progress to C2 shortly.
