About Eleanor McCarthy

Research Assistant Psychologist based within NSFT, with extensive experience in the field of mental health, working across a diverse range of populations presenting with challenging and complex therapeutic needs. Importantly, my clinical background has spanned across secure inpatient, general adult acute and older person services. In my current role, I am primarily responsible for managing our research referral database REACH and the Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES). Additionally, I also support with ongoing research delivery, including working with engaging our service users to partake with current studies, conducting eligibility assessments and follow-ups. In addition to my professional experience, I have obtained a BSc in Psychology, and a further MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience. I have also demonstrated a willingness to continuous professional development, undertaking further training as a Mental Health First Aider and Safeguarding Champion.
