About Eleanor McTeigue

I'm currently working as a laboratory technologist within the analytical department in research and development at NSG. I completed an apprenticeship degree in chemical science through Manchester Metropolitan University. My degree allowed me to combine academic study with full time work, allowing me to develop the skills and knowledge required for career progression within the chemical industry. I achieved a first-class honours degree, a level 6 apprenticeship award as well as two prizes, the MMU Outstanding Achievement Award and the RSC Manchester and District Section Prize - Outstanding Graduating BSc Chemical Science Student. Day to day I use several analytical techniques including ICP-OES, FAAS, XRF, LECO, TGA, CIC and various wet chemical methods. The busy laboratory work environment has allowed me to mature as a chemist developing my analytical knowledge, time management, organisational, communication and team working skills.
