About Elena Cagnoni

I chose to work in the User Experience design field in when it was a niche and in Italy, Whirlpool was one of the few companies that had a department totally focused on it. I was lucky enough to be hired in Whirlpool. It was clear that my passion was discovering users’ insights during ethnographic research and designing solutions around met and unmet needs. I got the opportunity to shape many experiences as I touched all the categories during my career and I am proud to have always worked with people at the center of our design process. Being the design team a global one, I had the opportunity to design products for the different regions in the world. I spent a lot of years working as user experience design for cooking, before at regional level and then with a global role, working with my colleagues of other disciplines on advanced concepts and on products that are today on the market. More recently, I moved in the digital field and I lead a group of passionate designers in delivering all the mobile applications and digital screens on our global portfolio. Our goal is to ensure that the digital brand expression is consistent with our brand values to create seamless experiences which support and surprise people during their journey.
