About Elena Eid

Since I was young, I always had a curious mind and a will to learn. Sports are important to me because it gives me a break from studying and I’m able to better manage my stress this way. Having several soccer practices every week helps me better plan my schedule and forces me to be disciplined. In highschool, I played futsal, indoor soccer, for 5 years and was nominated captain because of my sense of leadership. I am currently doing my bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. I have always been interested in science and I've known that my career would evetually be in the scientific field. At first, I thought that health science would be my thing, but since my second year in my associate degree, I realized that what I love most was mathematics and physics which are behind everywhere around us. I chose this program because having an engineering degree can lead me to different paths. What I like about engineering is that I can find work in multiple industries and be part of future innovations. Moreover, with an engineering degree, opportunities are endless. Furthermore, after a couple of years in the workplace, I would like to go back part time to school to do an MBA to be able to achieve more goals and to understand the business world. In conclusion, I’m a dedicated young woman that enjoys woking in teams, is very structured and passionate about everything I do.
