Background

About Elena Kilduff

For the past 3 years I have held positions at the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in the Mitigation and Recovery Division, assisting both the Mitigation and Recovery units with executing and supporting their programs. As a program coordinator my role is to help manage, administer and maintain assistance programs. On the recovery side I have had the opportunity to help lead communities after disasters to rebuild and better prepare and respond. This includes setting up Recovery Resource Centers with state and local partners and completing damage assessments with our federal partners. On the mitigation side, my role has been to support communities through programs to reduce and eliminate long term risks from natural disasters. This includes developing and identifying potential projects eligible for funding; compiling and reviewing reports; monitoring project progress; ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations; and providing technical assistance as needed. As a graduate of Nichols College in 2017 and 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Counter - Terrorism, respectively, I enjoy the challenge of a fast paced environment with opportunities to learn and develop both personally and professionally.
