Background

About Elena Linnik

Commencing my career in the field of audit, I later gained my professional experience in hedging and derivatives trading within the Oil & Gas sector. Subsequently, I transitioned into the Metals & Mining sector, where I was mainly engaged in the development of a lead and zinc deposit located in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. During this time, I had the opportunity to develop business plans and financial models for both brownfield and greenfield mining projects, focusing on feasibility studies. Additionally, I was involved in creating business plans and operating models for mining equipment manufacturing projects. Upon joining Big4, my journey continued with a strong focus on valuation and modelling. I performed valuations for various scenarios, including M&A, impairments tests, management buyouts, tax restructurings, carve-outs, and purchase price allocations (PPA). My key skills encompass financial modelling in terms of business valuation (M&A, strategic, tax contexts) and asset valuation (financial reporting, PPA), cash flow forecasting, financial statements analysis, scenario analysis, model review, impairment testing, and business plan development based on operational and financial KPIs for strategic and M&A purposes.
