About Eleni Tsilfides

I have 8 years of experience working as a clinical nurse in heart, vascular and thoracic departments. My experience includes working alongside the interdisciplinary team and coordinating care of critically ill patients in both step-down and ICU settings. I have an array of experience titrating critical drugs and maintaining hemodynamics of acute care cardiac patients. I have cared for patients directly out of cardiac surgery including CABG and valve replacement/repairs. Additionally, I have cared for patients before and after undergoing heart catheterization with diagnoses of ACS and heart blocks amongst others. My years of experience include monitoring hemodynamics and evaluating patient needs based on physical assessment and EKG analysis. Patient care is my top priority and I do all that I can to educate patients and help them feel safe while in their most vulnerable states. I enjoy working together with staff to create a trusting team that will provide the best outcomes for the patient and for the unit. I also work towards professional growth and have participated in many leadership roles that include charge nurse, preceptor and co-chair of a Nursing Professional Governance Committee.
