About Eleonora Desogus

Eleonora Desogus holds a BSc in Environmental and Land Engineering from the University of Cagliari (2018), an MSc in Environmental Protection from Politecnico di Torino (2020), and a PhD in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (2024). Her research focused on developing a risk model to assess the impact of geopolitical stability on energy commodity supply disruptions, considering factors like chokepoints, corridor length, piracy, and geopolitical stability. She also worked on the development of IT tools for informed policymaking in the energy sector and collaborated with ENEA, the Italian National Energy Agency. She coordinated the creation of the ET@IT web application to track Italy’s energy transition and led the development of SERT (Supply Energy Risk Tracker) and E3 (European Electricity Explorer) to monitor global energy routes and assess the impact of intermittent generation in the European power grid. Currently, she is a Project Manager in the R&D RINA’s Energy Digital Innovation team, focused on the development of digital tools and solutions for both European and industrial projects.
