About Eleonora Grisard

I completed my PhD in 2017, after 4 years spent working in CRO (National Cancer Institute) of Aviano, in the team of Dr. Spizzo and Dr. Nicoloso, in collaboration with the University of Padua. My research focus at the time has been studying the role of non-coding RNA (e.g microRNA) in colo-rectal cancer metastasis, referring to EMT as possible molecular mechanisms initiating metastatic transformation of this type of cancer. After my PhD, I moved to France to join the lab of Dr. Théry to study in deep the molecular mechanisms behind secretion of different types of Extracellular Vesicles secreted by breast cancer cells and their role in cancer progression. After this post-doctoral job experience, which lasted 3,5 years, I started a second post-doctoral job in Humanitas Research Hospital, in the team of Dr. Lovisa. Here, I am currently studying the mechanisms underlying the link between fibrosis and cancer initiation. I am a passionate reasercher with strong committment for cancer biology. I am currently working as a post doc in academia but I am open to job position in Research and Develompment in biotech industries focusing on cancer research.
