About Eleri Thomas

I am an effective leader with an aptitude to manage and complete multiple tasks in order to reach desired outcomes on time. I am academically accomplished in Law with a strong first degree (LLB) and two postgraduate degrees (PGDip and MA). I gained in-depth legal knowledge, commercial awareness and practical skills employers are seeking from the Legal Practice Course. I needed to stand out from my peers to secure a training contract or pupillage so became a self-funded master's student in 2018. I have advanced legal research skills and authoritative up-to-date ability to interrogate on-line legal resources from the MA in Cybercrime and Terrorism (graduated in 2019). Now it is time for me to learn how to give practical, client-centred advice that interprets what the law means to my client. With this goal in mind, I seek to secure a training contract or pupillage this year or a paralegal role in a firm where I know there is room for progression. My professional values are centered upon ensuring that children and young adults have a voice and that it is heard. Ultimately, I want to protect the rights of these people. I am passionate about pursuing a career in Family Law and aim to pursue my career by working as part of a team in a family law department within a successful law firm.
