About Elham Kamali

I am a research associate at the National Research Council Canada (NRC), where I apply my knowledge in nanotechnology and materials science to develop innovative solutions for various industrial and environmental challenges. I have over 7 years of experience in conducting and leading research projects on materials synthesis and characterizations for various applications including electrochemical energy storage devices (such as lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors), chemical and electrochemical sensors, catalysis, and, more recently, electro-catalytic hydrogen generation. My expertise extends to various materials synthesis techniques, including but not limited to electrospinning, hydro/solvothermal and sol gel as well as thin film fabrication techniques including, Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). I am well-versed in materials characterization methods, with extensive experience in SEM,EDX, TEM, XRD, XRR, XPS, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, UV-Vis, BET surface area measurements and TGA. Having worked as an assistant professor at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for three years, I have acquired teaching expertise at both the undergraduate and graduate levels along with strong leadership and research team management skills.
