About Eli Baez

As a fierce believer in social justice, I am passionate about helping others to fulfill their unique goals. I am both personally and professionally committed to dismantling systemic barriers to quality care for all so that we may all achieve our dream lives. Since 2012, I have had the honor and privilege to serve over clients as a counselor, victim’s advocate, and residential assistant. Since 2020, I have been a QHP under NYS OASAS with a supervisory designation of CASAC-Advanced with regard to addictions/SUD counseling. Most recently, I have moved away from direct care into positions such as clinical supervisor, and now as a Program Director of Sober Living. Educated both formally and through lived experience, I have been graced with fluency in several models of recovery, taking particular interest in Refuge Recovery/Recovery Dharma; I have had the opportunity to study Modern Languages abroad (Paris 2014) and have proficiency in both French and Spanish. Most recently, I have pursued a mental health counseling program at the CACREP-accredited State University of New York at Oswego, taking special interest in issues in multicultural counseling and researching issues in gender-affirming care.
