About Eli Haligua

I began my sound career in 2005 at Açık Radyo. After six years of broadcasting experience, I switched my focus to audio post-production and motion picture works. I have worked in every aspect of sound and forged an international career with projects from Turkey, the UK, France, Canada, and the US. I contributed to projects including feature and short films, commercials, tv series, animation series, video games, as well as a theatre show in Vancouver. I won 9 awards from Toronto, Vancouver, Italy, Greece and Turkey, furthermore have been nominated for 3 projects from Turkey, and I was part of the team for an animation show nominated for the Emmy Sound Awards. I was Supervising Sound Editor/Re-Recording Mixer on films that screened at top international film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlinale, Montreal, Karlovy Vary, Sarajevo, SXSW, and Sitges International Film Festival, as well as contributed to several Netflix and HBO projects. I graduated from SAE Sound Engineering School in Istanbul and was awarded as an honour student. Furthermore, I received my Master's Degree in Sound Technologies with a degree from Bahçeşehir University, where I wrote my thesis on the effects of Dolby Atmos on the sound designers' approach in Turkiye. I studied Digital Music Production in Vancouver and have been living in Vancouver since 2018. I work as a contractor for the premium sound design studios such as Vaudeville, The Mix Room, KOKO, and sound supervisors located in Vancouver, Los Angeles, London, and Turkey.
