About Eli Harvala

I spent the summer of 2022 interning in the procurement department at Wanzek Construction. There, I managed subcontracts, invited subcontractors to bid on projects, managed quotes, was directly involved in communicating with subs, and worked closely with project teams to suggest the best options to move forward with.I am spent the summer of 2023 interning at Kimley-Horn in St. Paul. I am learned the ins and outs of Civil 3D AutoCAD while drafting plan sets for a variety of roadway projectsStarting in 2024, I began working with the transit team at Kimley-Horn. I continued expanding my skills in AutoCAD and my knowledge of transit projects across the region. Summer of 2024 brought a new opportunity to work in the field on the Southwest Light Rail Extension in the Twjn Cities. There I have spent my days on site watching the coordination and processes required to construct such a large project. Beginning in the summer of 2025, I am excited to continue my efforts and expand my understanding of transit and civil engineering full time with Kimley-Horn!
