About Eli Nygren

I have held account management positions in Japan and the US in a variety of industries, including alcohol distribution, IT, and marketing/branding. I am highly detail oriented and results driven. I am bilingual with business level Japanese proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) and a thorough understanding of Japanese business culture. Within the beverage industry, Sake is my passion. I spent time as an assistant brewer at a Sake brewery, and have dedicated my time to growing the sake market in Hawaii through consulting, educating, holding tasting events, and leading pairing dinners with top restaurants. My strengths lie in building client and vendor relationships, effectively coordinating teams to deliver results, and communication. My industry certifications include; WSET Level 3 Sake Educator, WSET Level 3 Sake, WSET Level 2 Spirits, and Certified Sake Professional. Outside of my professional activities, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, playing guitar, meditation, scuba diving, swimming, cycling, and traveling.
