About Eli Parrish

I am a composer, conductor, and clarinetist with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition and a minor in Environmental Sciences from Emory University. During my undergraduate studies, I focused on music composition, orchestral conducting, and clarinet performance, gaining a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of music. Throughout my academic career, I held positions such as Assistant Conductor for the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and Operations Manager for the Atlanta Chamber Music Festival. These roles allowed me to manage orchestral logistics, lead diverse ensembles, and oversee performances, all while developing organizational and leadership skills essential to the music industry. Currently, I am pursuing a Master in Management (MiM) to further develop the logistical, financial, and professional skills necessary for leading and managing musical ensembles. This program provides practical training in the managerial and financial aspects of orchestral performance, equipping me to navigate the complexities of the music industry. My combined experience in composition, conducting, and arts administration, along with the business acumen from my MiM program, supports my goal of building sustainable and modern orchestral models. I aim to foster inclusive environments, financially stabilize arts organizations, and advocate for fair compensation for musicians, ultimately contributing to a more accessible and thriving classical music world.
