Background
About Elias Ramirez
As a first-generation Mexican-American and proud Galveston County native, I’ve committed myself to uplifting the communities that raised me. With a background in public service, nonprofit leadership, and youth advocacy, I bring a hands-on, grassroots approach to everything I do. I recently graduated from the University of Houston–Clear Lake with a B.S. in Public Service Leadership and currently serve as Program Coordinator at the Galveston County Food Bank, where I oversee food access programs for children and seniors. Beyond my day job, I serve on multiple local boards and committees—including Lifeline of Galveston County, the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Board, Hispanic Business Network of Galveston County, and Keep Texas City Beautiful. I’m passionate about building coalitions that drive policy change, support youth leadership, and create equitable access to opportunity. Whether I’m mentoring students, advocating for causes, or helping Hispanic businesses thrive through the Hispanic Business Network of Galveston County, my mission is clear: build a better future from the ground up.
