About Elijah Thomas

Great music has always existed outside the major system. It always will. The problem was never talent — it was infrastructure.I've spent over a decade trying to close that gap. First as the founder of Uncharted Studios, building a space where independent artists could produce music at a quality level that could contend with the majors. Then as the founder of Uncharted Records, trying to give those same artists access to the creative tools, marketing teams, and strategic support that major label rosters take for granted. Bootstrapped, scrappy, and learning the hard way what actually breaks when you're running campaigns without the right systems behind them. That experience didn't just teach me the music business. It taught me exactly where the infrastructure was missing. In parallel, I was building enterprise-grade systems for GM and Intel — automation, cloud architecture, mission-critical platforms that couldn't fail. At some point the collision became obvious: the independent music industry had a real engineering problem, and nobody was treating it like one.MAVA is what I built when I stopped waiting for someone else to solve it. Campaign intelligence and spend automation purpose-built for independent labels — so lean teams can move as fast as the algorithms they're trying to beat, and every dollar spent can be traced to a real result. The next generation of music's biggest artists will be built by independent teams. I'm building the infrastructure that makes that possible.Founder @ MAVA. Builder. Still a label owner.
