About Elinor Light

Elinor Light holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Utah and her research focuses on visual rhetoric, aesthetics, and space, particularly within the context of issues of social justice. She teaches courses in rhetoric and visual communication and has extensive experience teaching online courses in Communication. She is the recipient of the 2018 National Communication Association's Most Outstanding Article of the Year award in the Visual Communication Division and the 2021 recipient of the Curricular Innovation Award in the College of Liberal Arts at Colorado State University.Elinor serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Success for the College of Liberal Arts, where she works on student success initiatives and represents Continuing, Contract, and Adjunct faculty (CCAF) in the Dean's Office. She also currently serves as the Director of the Online Degree Program for the Communication Department.
