About Eliot Ward

I offer over 30 years of private and public sector experience in commercial property (agency, development, advisory) and urban regeneration at senior management level. I have been a Director of five companies. Particular strengths include inter-personal skills, brokering transactions, focused deal making, problem solving, decision making and sound judgement with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and team members to deliver tangible results. In private practice, I specialised in agency and national corporate portfolio management for large industrial companies; advising on development, sales, lettings, acquisitions, landlord and tenant issues, business rates and dilapidations. At English Partnerships I led on the delivery of strategic projects in Liverpool including the Arena and Convention Centre, Kings Waterfront (master planning, funding (£75m) and development agreements, land transactions, compulsory purchase, estates management, plot disposals) the redevelopment of Lime Street Gateway (£25m) and the comprehensive regeneration of Edge Lane West (£12m). I was responsible for investment in housing market renewal schemes, former coalfield and surplus hospital sites and land stabilisation works (£33m) in Northwich. I led the appointment of and negotiated the Development Agreement with Miller/RBS at Omega Business Park, Warrington and secured planning permission for the first development phases, negotiating away objections from Manchester, Salford and Liverpool city councils and the Highways Agency. Since my role as Chief Executive at Preston Vision ended in 2011 due to public funding cuts, I have been undertaking interim property and regeneration advisory work with Croydon, Greenwich, Medway, Shropshire, South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse, Wigan, Wirral, and Wolverhampton Councils, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and Chester Renaissance to focus on delivery of a number of strategic, mixed-use projects. I am also advising private developer clients nationwide. I am Deputy Chair of Governors at Liverpool John Moores University and a non-executive Board member of Warrington Housing Association.
