About Elisa Bertone

I am a passionate and adaptable professional with a background in Biomedical Engineering and a strong drive to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. I earned my Master’s Degree in Information Bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano, with a thesis on Deep Learning and Transfer Learning for motor imagery classification in BCI applications. Then, I began my career as a Data Scientist at IBM, where I spent two years applying AI to solve complex problems across diverse domains. During this time, I became an expert in NLP and Generative AI, using LLMs to deliver impactful, real-world solutions that improved business outcomes. Now, I’m embracing a new challenge as a Radar Software Engineer at Leonardo, driven by the same curiosity and hunger to learn that have guided my journey so far. My path, from biomedical AI research to advanced NLP and now radar systems, reflects my ability to adapt, evolve, and contribute meaningfully in fast-moving, interdisciplinary environments.
