About Elisa Nardin

I am a creative thinker with a keen interest in the history of art (since I was a child), which brought me to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Tourism Management at the University of Padua (Italy) and a Master’s Degree in History of Arts and Cultural Heritage (specializing in Contemporary Art) at the University of Venice, where I had the chance to visit the many beauties of the city and experience its cultural fervent. For my final essay I had to do a lot of research, which ended up in a catalogue. Two years ago I started working in the museum sector, being employed as a Visitor Experience Assistant both at the Tate Modern Gallery and the Tate Britain, and later as a full-time VA at the British Museum. This has been a wonderful chance to be in close contact with art pieces and to deal with people interested in the subject. Furthermore, I am occasionally volunteering as a steward and souvenir seller at the Emery Walker Trust, thus gaining a wider knowledge about the Arts & Crafts movement and its protagonists. My other job experiences involve tutoring and private lessons in humanities, which enhanced my organisational skills. I also have experience in front of house positions, as I recently worked as a receptionist/administrator in a very busy Language School in central London, job which helped me to develop a very proactive attitude. My duties involved general administrative support and customer service, which improved my clerical and IT skills. Working as a secretary in a dance academy, as an intern in a travel agency and as a clerk in a popular fashion shop in London have helped me to improve my natural ability to deal with people. I am Italian native speaker and I speak English fluently, also I have a basic knowledge of French and Spanish
