English (Deutsch s. unten): I stand for a kind of research, cultural analysis and social criticism committed to communicating its messages beyond the walls of the ivory tower. I am driven by a strong sense of justice and the desire to enable social participation for all - in both my research & activism. At the moment I am finishing my dissertation "Beyond Disgust - The Popfeminist Politics of Body Positivity" on 'disgusting' female* bodies and the body positivity movement. Deutsch: Ich stehe für engagierte Forschung, Kulturanalyse & Gesellschaftskritik abseits des Elfenbeinturms.
