About Elisabeth Young

As a Registered Nurse, I have had many opportunities to work with exceptional mentors in various settings throughout healthcare. With experience ranging from the Acute Care setting such as the Adult Cardiovascular ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Pediatric Critical Care, to the Academic University Hospital Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments, as well as Administrative work in Patient Advocacy for a major Blood Donation Organization during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, I believe I am well versed in many areas of medicine, disease processes and treatment of acute and chronic health along healthcare continuum and have what it takes to continue to build upon my experience and grow personally and professionally. I am a compassionate nurse with a proven track record of adaptability, learning, and growth in unique circumstances who believes in bringing individual strengths to contribute to the overall team dynamic. I have obtained and strengthened leadership, writing, and communication skills along with project management skills through the completion of projects during my continuing volunteer work, especially with the American Migraine Foundation and Alliance for Headache Disorders. I have a passion for research and writing which I have had the opportunity to utilize not only while obtaining my BSN, but also in the healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse assisting my current employer on their journey to Magnet Status. I plan to further these skills through growing my career as well as obtaining graduate level education in the near future. These unique opportunities and experiences will allow me to contribute to the team through dedicated work and insight which has been acquired over time while developing strong clinical judgement and medical knowledge.My interests: Leadership, Research, Nursing Informatics and Data Management, Quality and Patient Advocacy, Creativity in problem solving.
