About Elisabetta Riva

Born just outside the city of Milan, Italy, Elisabetta began to travel and study foreign languages at an early age. Having completed a BA Hons in Literature and Social Communications from the Catholic University of Milan, she also trained as an actress both in Italy and abroad, and received a postgraduate degree in acting at the Arts Educational School in London, where she lived for four years (1997-2001). Her professional career as an actress spans theatre (classical, physical, experimental), cinema and television in Italy, France, England, Germany and Argentina. In Elisabetta founded Creactive, a not-for-profit cultural organization, based initially in London and later in Milan, which she lead as artistic director and where she worked as teacher, director, producer and actress. In 2005 Elisabetta began her cultural interchange with Argentina, moving to live there in 2007. Creactive later developed into RES-PRODUCCIONES, a production company co-managed with her husband, the Argentinean actor/director Leonardo Kreimer. RES-PRODUCCIONES produced theatre, cinema, cultural events and educational projects. In 2012 she was elected Vice President of the board of directors of Foundation Coliseum, which oversees the 1800 seat Theatre Coliseo, one of the most important venues in Buenos Aires. In 2013 she became Vice Director and in 2014 took on the role of General Director, successfully leading a master plan of refurbishing and relaunching the theatre. She is the mother of a 13 year old boy named Akira and has received the Order of Merit as “Ufficiale della Stella” of the Italian Republic, in recognition for contributions to cultural exchanges between Italy and Argentina while leading the Teatro Coliseo.
