About Elise Buonopane

Hello! My name is 1LT Elise Buonopane and I am currently assigned to HHB 1-62 ADA. I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy Class of 2022. While at USMA, I earned my B.S. in International History. I was also a member of the USMA Women’s Soccer Team. I have 3 years of working experience as an Active Duty Air Defense Artillery Officer. This includes 13 months as a Launcher Platoon Leader, 7 months as a deployed Tactical Control Officer and 11 months as an Executive Officer for a Patriot Battery. Currently serving as a BN AS3. I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware as the oldest of 3 siblings. My love for soccer guided me toward a military high school where I could further develop my leadership and team building skills. The opportunity to attend USMA afterward and continue playing soccer also showed me how much my passions align with coaching, mentoring and working on a team. I love the Army because it truly is a people business. Creating buy-in and motivating my soldiers to accomplish our mission is something I take immense pride in.
