About Elise Chen

Elise came to Norway from Shanghai in early 80’s, graduated from Shanghai University and Oslo University. Elise has more than 25 years international experiences with special focus on cooperation between China and Nordic countries. She was one of the initiators and founders of the Chinese Culture Festival in Norway in 2004. The festival has since hosted numerous major concerts and gala shows in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Tromsø, most recently the Chinese Gala Concert in the Norwegian Opera House. Current positions- Managing Director of the Norwegian Chinese Chamber of Commerce China Desk Manager at Schjødt Law Firm. As key resource in Schjødt's services related to trade and investment between China and Norway. Main tasks: Marketing and communication with regards to clients, business partners and contacts, including assisting clients in their contact with public authorities and organisations involved in Norway/China business, in particular inbound investments from China to Norway- CEO and founder of the China – Norway Culture Promotion Previously, Elise worked in 4 years at DLA Piper Norway as China Desk Business Manager, 5 years as China Desk Manager at Schjødt Law Firm, 10 years as project manager and professional development manager in IBM and has experience in industry, banking and finance.
