Background
About Elise Cope
With nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit industry spanning program management, marketing, and fundraising, I am passionate about connecting people to issues and causes rooted in their values and social justice. I'm an information design maven and I love curating content for both print and digital storytelling. As a graphic designer by trade, I have a keen eye for good aesthetics and effective branding. I also specialize in vetting, customizing, and administering CRM, marketing, and campaign solutions for nonprofits and small businesses. On a personal note. Island Life: I reside in Friday Harbor with my two boys, where we revel in exploring the San Juan Islands and Salish Sea by foot, bike, and boat. Literary Arts: I am a closet poet who recently discovered a new love of the literary arts with a local group, Islandverse Literary Collective. Check out their website that I built at Creative Pursuits: I have a deep love for handicrafts, from metalsmithing to textiles. I own a small business, designing and creating botanical-inspired jewelry. Check out my creations on Instagram: Elise + Co. Jewelry, Family Adventure: In 2017 I embarked on an 18-month sailing adventure from British Columbia to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico. Global Exploration: In 2010, I traveled solo for 6 months, backpacking in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Oman, Dubai, Nepal, and India. I crossed the Indian Ocean aboard a 36-foot sailing vessel and apprenticed with a silversmith in Kathmandu. Advocacy and Action: In 2008, I organized and completed a bike ride from Seattle to San Francisco for an initiative called Ride Green Build Green, supporting green affordable housing solutions.
