Passionate Allied Health and Leisure & Health Assistant With over 12 years of combined industry experience and a dedication to enhancing the lives of seniors.I bring a wealth of expertise in various roles, including Personal Care Assistant, Lifestyle Assistant and Lifestyle Coordinator.Currently, I am enjoying my role as Recreation and Engagement Coordinator at Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged, where I have been employed since 2017.This new position has allowed me to explore my passion for community engagement and share my knowledge to foster meaningful relationships under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme.I advocate passionately for dementia care, promoting a holistic approach to behaviour support and providing person-centred psychosocial care.I am strongly aligned with models of care such as the Eden Alternative and Namaste Care.I am committed to pioneering innovative approaches that prioritise the well-being and dignity of every individual under my care.Starting my journey in the industry at 14 through volunteering to complete my Duke of Edinburgh Award has given me a unique perspective on life. I often joke that I grew up in aged care, and this early involvement has shaped my deep commitment to creating supportive and inclusive environments for older Australians.I am always chasing knowledge and new experiences.
