About Elise May

As my CV reflects I have 3.5 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist for Mayo Clinic Health System. Mayo Clinic has a large and ever expanding pharmacy service. During my time at Mayo I have learned a great deal about providing and improving clinical practices. Being a clinical pharmacist means being a leader and educator. For example I am part of a 2 person team that manages the pharmacists schedule, I provide direction to technicians on a daily basis and as a preceptor I supervise all student activities. As previously stated education is a huge role for pharmacists and I believe it would be a major role for this position. I enjoy the education aspect of my current position. As such, I precept about 3 students per year, work with the residents as much as possible and enjoy educating RNs and providers. While I do not have a residency, my first year was considered a training period and I completed many of the same activities as our residents that year
