About Elisse Baitz

Leadership development, community building & student engagement is my passion. In my substantive role as Coordinator of Student Life & Leadership at Victoria University, I have been privileged to put this into practice for the last 6 years. Now on secondment as Alumni Relations Manager, I'm enjoying helping Alumni stay connected to the VU community, and facilitating opportunities for them to come back and inspire current students. It's especially rewarding when those Alumni are amazing individuals who I first met when they were students participating in VU's award winning Student Leadership Program. In my previous role as the Executive Officer of Victoria University's Student Union, I provided administrative and budget support along with procedural and policy advice to elected student representatives. I have also had the opportunity to work on other student facing projects at Victoria University, as LEAD Program Senior Project Officer, VU Volunteer Day Project Officer, VU/UTEP Leadership Program Coordinator and SSAF Grant Project Officer. Recently graduated with a Graduate Diploma of International Community Development, I also completed a Bachelor of Marketing Communications at Victoria University in 2018. Previously I completed a Certificate 4 in Professional Writing and Editing. My specialisations included Public Relations, Marketing & Advertising, Political Science, Non-Fiction Research & Writing, and Integrated Marketing Communications. As an enthusiastic proponent of Victoria University's Study Abroad program, I strongly believe that studying abroad teaches valuable skills and leads to great personal development. I have studied abroad twice, at the University of Texas at El Paso in 2016 and at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2015.
