15+ years in health care starting as a volunteer ski patroller. It was a natural progression to train as an EMT and further my medical career. I stumbled into a firefighter/EMT job with the Colville Tribe and discovered a love for firefighting. A chance encounter on a forest fire led to a recommendation to join Wilderness Medics where I discovered a family as well as a new job. As I was considering furthering my education as a paramedic, another chance encounter with a flight respiratory therapist led me to consider that career. Ken Radford and North Valley Hospital took a chance on me as I became their one and only respiratory therapy student. Working now as a Respiratory Therapist has been an amazing and rewarding career. My lifelong love of learning propelled me to return to grad school and pursue my degree as a PA.
