Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist (Bowel Function). FINCH Service, SWBH Nurse led service, treating patients with varying pelvic floor disorders such as Faecal Incontinence, Constipation, Rectal Evacuatory Dysfunction and Pelvic organ prolapse. We assess, investigate and treat patients using conservative management, minimally invasive treatments and neuro-modulation. We specialise in Anterior Resection Syndrome, and also run patient days for this group of patients. I also teach pre registration student nurses in the university environment in colorectal disorders and bowel function as well as other health care professionals. We are an award winning service both locally and nationally and are very active in the research arena. We have presented our data around the UK and Abroad, and our novel four stage approach to treatment has been published and adopted by many centres throughout the UK. Artical to be published in the Cancer Nursing Practice Journal 2018.
