About Elizabeth Creates

Working in collaboration with their family office and team of advisors, I coach high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families on how to approach, make and communicate pivotal wealth transfer decisions (e.g. business succession or sale, estate planning, philanthropy, etc.) in a way that promotes self-empowerment, personal fulfilment, peace of mind and family connection. The emotional and relationship ripple effects of a significant wealth transfer begin prior to the transaction (in terms of when, how, by whom and for whom the decision is being made) and can extend – sometimes for generations – long after the transaction itself has occurred (in terms of each stakeholder’s perception of how the decision and decision-making process affects them and their relationships going forward). The individuals and families I work with recognize that wealth transfers have meaningful long-term success when they are custom-designed to align with strongly held personal and family values, when they create a story that positively contributes to the family narrative, and when they take factors of family dynamics and governance into account. I am a lawyer by background and have worked in the wealth management industry for more than 20 years.
