About Elizabeth Dart

Dr. Elizabeth Dart graduated with a BS in Exercise Physiology and Pre-physical therapy in 2006. She was initially drawn into integrative medicine after seeing her mother live in chronic pain from multiple motor vehicle collisions. At a young age, Elizabeth saw first hand how chronic pain can effect every part of one’s life. After college, she worked, she moved, and she learned. She honed in on her skills and has trained with some of the most brilliant minds in the world. Dr. Dart received her Master of Science at Bastyr University in Acupuncture and Chinese herbs. After completing her degree, she studied at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese medicine focused on gynecology. She went on to complete her doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine, a designation only 1% of acupuncturists hold. Her doctoral research was a retrospective study focused on different acupuncture styles at Harborview Medical Center, a Trauma-1 center. This study found that participants who received whole body acupuncture treatment had a statistically significant greater improvement in pain scores, pre and post treatment, versus those who only received acupuncture treatment using the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol. T(63)=-2.488, p = 0.015. Dr. Dart presented her research at Society of Acupuncture Research 2021 International Research Conference. Ultimately, Elizabeth wants to empower her clients and hopefully hear their own stories of gracefully moving back into their daily life.
