About Elizabeth Evans

I am dedicated to advancing legal advocacy in women's equality, racial justice, reproductive rights, fairness in criminal trials, and the restructuring of the child welfare system. My practical experience includes nearly two years as a forensic intern with the Major Felony Unit at the Public Defender Agency of Marion County, where I honed my skills in forensic analysis and criminal defense. I have served as Executive Director of both the Feminist Law Forum and If/When/How student organizations, leading efforts to address gender and reproductive justice issues through advocacy and programming. My roles as a research assistant involved supporting faculty research, including work on an upcoming publication on fertility fraud, enriching my understanding of cutting-edge legal challenges. Currently, as a Certified Legal Intern with Child Advocates, I provide direct representation to clients, gaining hands-on experience in advocating for children within the child welfare system. My diverse background and commitment to social justice reflect a deep passion for driving systemic reform and advancing equitable legal solutions.
