About Elizabeth Floyd
With a background in academic research and experience teaching in both K-12 and higher education, I focus on creating and leading programs that provide the necessary skills and tools to prepare both students and professionals for their future careers. Currently, I manage two graduate student education programs at UC Santa Barbara, the NIH T32 in Quantitative Mechanobiology and NSF NRT in Data Driven Biology, for which I ensure that our offerings align with best practices in academic research and provide meaningful professional development opportunities for program participants. I also work with faculty and educational leaders in developing mentorship best practices, cutting-edge educational initiatives, and student-centered programs.
