About Elizabeth Hardt

As an aspiring English teacher, I have experience in editing and grading students' academic and fictional works. My past occupations in customer service have enabled me to communicate in a professional manner, and to use my critical thinking skills in the college and classroom environment. My ultimate goal is to enable future generations of college students to learn the true, good, and beautiful through English Language and Literature. Inspiring a deep love of literature is what motivates me, as I believe that the written word can teach us not only about the past, but the future as well. In my sophomore and junior years of high school, I led a creative writing workshop at my local library. Our members met once a month and discussed characteristics of writing, such as plot, character, and style. Throughout high school, I wrote for a creative writing website called Young Writers Project, and in my senior year, I was an Assistant for the younger writers. Through Young Writers Project, my poetry was published in two newspapers, a poetry anthology, and was read on the radio. Young Writers Project also partnered with Young Writers Program and NaNoWriMo. In essence, both websites encouraged their members to write an entire novel in the month of November. I participated in these programs from 6th grade to my senior year of high school.
