About Elizabeth Libby Mann

39 years experience in ophthalmology including general, retina, and glaucoma. Current responsibilities include but not limited to overseeing surgery schedules, working directly with corneal transplant patients, reviewing and organizing physicians schedules. Experience with clinical trials, every aspect of a patient exam, including angiography and all patient testing. Assisted physician with procedures. Experience with indirect and identifying patients with eye disease to help prepare physician prior to the exam. Scribe experience of over 25 years, educating patients on eye diseases and procedures/surgeries. Knowledge of many EHR programs. I have taken Lean Six Sigma courses at ODU which has been used to create effective patient flow. Proud to have started in ophthalmology prior to computers, digital cameras, etc. this has allowed me to grow and first hand learn the new digital age of ophthalmology. I have a great desire to educate staff on patient care, I feel we must continue to keep new patient care staff educated on how to give patients to best possible experience when coming in for exams/treatments.
