Heading up Harper Macleod's Personal Injury & Reparation team and Insurance Sector Group, I am an experienced Commercial Litigator, having run cases in all areas of contentious Insurance Law, from Road Traffic Pursuer and Defender Claims to General Personal Injury, Employment, Professional Negligence, Medical Negligence, Contractual Disputes and Home Right Claims. In addition my Department handles Public, Occupier’s and Employer’s Liability claims, Industrial Disease, CICA. I lead a team of Partners; Associates; Solicitors and paralegals who have a large portfolio of insurance clients and direct claimants with various types of claims. In the past I set up and ran the Harper Macleod’s satellite office based within one of the UK’s largest Insurance Companies. I am recognised as an expert in the field of Personal Injury by Legal Experts (A Legal 500 publication) and a 'Recommended Lawyer' for Medical Negligence and personal injury for defender and pursuers. I am also on the board of Scottish Rowing the governing body for rowing in Scotland. In addition I tutor at Strathclyde University's Diploma course, on Professional Practice & Ethics, shaping young minds (allegedly!)
