My area of expertise is in the Italian school of vocal technique. My knowledge of vocal technique and how to teach was fostered through growing up with a singer for a parent, and serving as accompanist in over 30 different teachers studios. I have accompanied singers since I was in my teens, culminating in the years spent as rehearsal accompanist for Seattle Opera. While there I accompanied for 30+ operas in all the major languages and ranging from Wagner to Janacek to Mozart etc. I have been a recital accompanist for the past 5 decades. I have an extensive knowledge of vocal art song literature, and a large private music library of this literature. I am skilled in teaching Italian, French, German, Spanish, English, and Latin diction. I currently teach voice privately and at Seattle University, and I continue to accompany recitals. I also accompany, or have accompanied, for various organizations i.e Seattle Chamber Singers, Seattle Wind Symphony, Seattle Choral Company, and Bellevue Presbyterian Church choirs.
