Born and raised in Kenya, moved to the Netherlands at 23, learnt Dutch within two months, cycling and swimming within a year, and completed my Master’s in Sociology (in Dutch) at Utrecht University. First of 500+ EMCC-NOBCO-accredited coaches in the Netherlands from an African country. Fluent in English, Dutch, Swahili & Kiembu. Coined the phrase “professionals who are from elsewhere, or who are seen as such”© to name the experience of navigating difference in workplaces. Creator of the HILMA (Holistic Intercultural Life Mastery Approach) model. Initiator, co-founder & chair of the Dutch Intercultural Coaching Community of Practice.
