About Elke Geraerts

My career started in academia, with research and teaching positions at universities of Harvard, St Andrews, Maastricht, and Rotterdam. With a PhD in psychology, I focused on resilience, stress, and attention—topics that continue to shape my work today. I’ve always been driven by one question: how can we turn scientific insights into real-world impact? That question led me to found Better Minds at Work, an international consultancy committed to building mental resilience, strong leadership, and healthy workplace cultures. We describe ourselves as a knowledge boutique -offering science-based guidance with a personal, tailored approach. Our goal is always the same: real impact in real organisations. Alongside writing bestselling books like Mental Capital (Better Minds), The New Mental, Authentic Intelligence, The Mental Reset, and Focus is the New Gold, I regularly speak at conferences, leadership events, and company offsites. As a TEDx speaker and international keynote speaker, I enjoy connecting with diverse audiences across the globe—always aiming to spark new thinking and inspire action. What drives me?
