About Ella MacAtuno

I am a senior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating in May 2026, working towards a business degree in Marketing, with a collateral in Sales, a Digital and Visual Media concentration, and a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. I have always been pretty competitive with my work– whether it is competing against others or myself, I always try to put my best work forward. I recently started to work at Palm Beach Tan. Through this new job, I am competing with myself to out-do all my work and make sure everything I do is the best outcome and reflect positively on myself and my work ethic. I continue to do so in the summer camp I have worked at for the past five summers. Every year, I compete with myself from the previous summer in order to be the best version of myself as not only a counselor for my kids, but the person I want to become, moving higher up in the camp. Some of my business interests include understanding global trends in marketing, the sports culture and its relation to marketing, and how different cultures target the audience with appropriate marketing strategies. My experiences with leadership and communication have prepared me to pursue a career in marketing. For example, back in high school I was president of our school’s Teens Against Cancer Club where I used my leadership skills to delegate important tasks during a big fundraiser to the other officers and my communication skills to promote the event on a social media platform I was strongly confident in reaching the targeted audience of high schoolers. My career goal after college is to lead a Fortune 500 company in their marketing department or be involved in the marketing side of the sports world.
