About Ella Marshall

I’m very fortunate with the amount of experience I havegained working with children. I attended a placement in Nelson Primary Schoolfor 3 terms from 2012-2013. I have also raised money by being sponsored byfriends, family and took part in many fundraising events to go to Kenya toteach primary school classes on 2012. When I taught in Kenya for a month I alsohelp with the Environment, Community and climbed Mount Kenya at the end of themonth, which is one of my biggest achievements. I have also attended a trip inIndia with Twickenham Academy’s linked Primary School for two weeks. Duringthis trip in India, I helped teach English lessons alongside an English teacher.I had very good comments back from the teacher and students. In addition tothis, I worked in Heathfield Nursery for 2 weeks in 2011 for work experience,which taught a numerous amount of skills when looking after young children. Inmy spare time, I took part in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and achieved mybronze award. I am now contemplating going on to achieving my gold award. Duringmy A levels I completed a placement at Heathfield Nursery and Infant School ina speech and language class and supported children with a range of special educationalneeds, this made me decide to extend my knowledge and development in teaching. Sincethen I have attended a placement as part of one of my modules for my degree.This entailed me to extend my knowledge and understanding of a year two classand children taking their SATS.
